Accessibility

It’s highly important to Gaudeamus to inform our audience about the accessibility of our festival. Our festival’s events take place in different locations which, for most of them, facilitate access to people with disabilities. This webpage gives a lot of information about the accessibility. But also on spot our volunteers and our staff will help you navigate through a wide-range of concerts and interdisciplinary performances.

Muziekhuis Utrecht, Stadsschouwburg Utrecht, TivoliVredenburg, Het Huis Utrecht, Centraal Museum, Theater Kikker, De Nijverheid are all wheelchair-accessible and most of them are equipped with disabled toilets and lifts.
In addition, some venues enable hearing-impaired to fully enjoy the festival’s performances, thanks to hearing aids (such as ring line in one of Theater Kikker’s halls, or TivoliVredenburg Phonak system). Approved acoustics in Stadsschouwburg Utrecht will also ensure hearing-impaired a pleasant experience.
Finally, if you are visually impaired, you can send us an email when buying your ticket and we will make sure to place you in front of the stage if necessary.
