New notes for harpist Michela Amici
Are you a composer between 10 and 35 years old? Do you live or study in the Netherlands? Would you like your music to be performed during the Grachtenfestival, Gaudeamus and November Music? Send us your sketch for a new piece for harpist Michela Amici!
Performing on both triple harp and pedal harp, Michela Amici combines a repertoire that goes from early baroque works to cutting edge new compositions. Michela has worked extensively with young composers, sound artists and writers shaping a unique repertoire for ensembles such as the Harp Sirens (harp-sextet), the trio Amici (harp, double bass and percussion) and her latest duo project baroque harp and mezzo-soprano. She loves to explore spatial and theatrical aspects in her performances and her inspiration often lies in architecture and scenography.
Michela uses a concert harp (pedal harp), a baroque harp (triple harp) and a small renaissance harp (with bray pins) in this project. It is also possible to use electronics in the piece, provided that the composer oversees and executes this.
Please submit a composition outline with a maximum of 1 minute. We would like to receive a score/PDF and a midi-file (MP3). Does Michela Amici see potential in the excerpt? Then there is a chance that you can complete your composition and have it premiered at the Grachtenfestival and have performances at Gaudeamus and November Music as well!
