As a Post-Doctoral researcher at the CIMIL at the University of Trento, Italy, Domenico investigates ways of bringing Artificial Intelligence inside musical instrument, which required adapting to resource-constrained embedded computers. He has worked on the real-time classification of playing techniques on guitar, and later on the recognition of the player's mood from the audio signal.
