Arthur Wagenaar & Guido van Hout – Sounds Like Juggling (short version)

This concert has already taken place. Click here for our current concert programme.

Rattling balloons, buzzing sticks, rolling speakers: in Sounds Like Juggling, the musicians have to juggle to get music out of their instruments. Composer Arthur Wagenaar and juggler Guido van Hout join forces for a fantastic circus of movement and sound, where the rules of the game are constantly changing and nothing is impossible.

Composer Arthur Wagenaar is constantly pushing the boundaries of music, theatre and performance art. In almost all his performances he makes use of self-built instruments. With the juggling instruments of Sounds Like Juggling he pays tribute to patterns: the power and beauty of patterns, but also being stuck in patterns, and especially breaking through patterns. An art that is now more important than ever.

Sounds Like Juggling can be seen on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Gaudeamus at various time slots. Check out a complete overview of all the time slots. Pay attention: the performance on Saturday night 20:00 is the original long version of 1 hour, all other performances are shortened versions of 30 minutes long.

Sounds Like Juggling is also part of Festival Tweetakt, performance art festival for everyone.
