The Centraal Museum and Gaudeamus are joining forces for Centraal Laat, the museum’s new evening concept. It will include an exclusive preview of Alles is Rond, an installation by Madelon Hooykaas with music by Louis Andriessen and sound artist Malu Peeters, and a performance by violinist Diamanda Dramm, which originated during Amsterdam Fashion Week. And crossovers with Dutch fashion designer Duran Lantink’s exhibition.
Every first Thursday of the month you can enjoy performances, music, lectures and other cultural events in and around the museum until the early hours. The collaboration with Gaudeamus is planned for the September edition of Centraal Laat.
The programme will even spill over into the Nicolaïkerk next to the museum, where Gaudeamus Award 2019 nominee Stefan Maier, Danish artist Ragnhild May and Catchpenny Ensemble will create an overwhelming bath of sound, exploiting every hidden nook and cranny of the church. The evening will culminate in adventurous synth explorations until late into the night, in a special edition of ‘Modulation meets Gaudeamus’ in the Museum Café, hosted by Sonar Traffic.
