Founded in 2015 by percussionist Jacob Vanneste and harpsichordist Lisa Kokwenda Schweiger, Two Envelopes merges combinations of performative elements and electronics with classical elements. They play compositions created especially for their mix of expressive skills. In 2015, the duo was selected as ‘International Young Artist’ by Musica, for whom they complete their own creation Aamento. Expect music that goes left when you think the performers are going right, ‘impossible’ sound combinations, sounds that detach and knock the ground away from under your feet. Exactly like the title of the disruptive piece that Boris Bezemer wrote for them: Door de grond heen (‘Through the ground’).
