Cellist Rogier Hornman and drummer Mees Siderius, co-founders of interdisciplinary performance collective BUI, perform Furtive Movements by Ted Hearne, jury member for the Gaudeamus Award 2022. Furtive Movement is an interactive dialogue between the two instruments in which the sounds and possibilities of an improvisation get structured, turned inside out and neatly placed back in a well thought of form. An energetic and challenging piece that fits very well within the duo’s repertoire.
