Democratic collective Moving Strings explores the grey area between sound and movement. Rohan Chander, alias BAKUDI SCREAM, winner of the Gaudeamus Award 2022, adds issues of cultural identity and multidisciplinarity to that same grey area. Especially for Gaudeamus Festival 2023, they are joining together to make the performance My Prayers Are Made of Silicon, choreographed by Kate Watson-Wallace.
In a future reality after the destruction of God, the aliens “Boost Beast” (Kate Watson-Wallace), the “HINDOO HACKER” (BAKUDI SCREAM) and the “Ritual Cardinals” (Moving Strings) move through symphonic and hardcore sound worlds in a search for alternative forms of religiosity.
