A six-piece acoustic ensemble plays a new composition with installation of clarinettist Germaine Sijstermans. Music, light, concentration and space are central in this special experience.
The composition Betula is the end result of a two-year residency at Intro, a production house for experimental music (supported by ViaZuid). Sijstermans’ music is based on listening in silence as the keynote. The tone material is abstract, the effect organic. The musicians let the music unfold by constantly listening to each other and communicating from different worlds of sound material. The installation creates a transparent, temporary physical form that colors the personal experience and allows itself to be colored.
