Get in the FLOW! Let yourself be carried away in a meditative stream of music, sound and movement. In the spirit of John Cage’s insight that silence doesn’t exist, percussion trio XTRO makes music with everyday objects and finds surprises in minimal means. FLOW is an invitation to open yourself up to the endless creative possibilities that life has to offer.
FLOW is a continuous, theatrical show merging pieces by contemporary composers such as Thierry de Mey, Steve Snowden and German Calle. XTRO also premieres a new piece tonight by Nicholas Morrish, one of the nominees for the Gaudeamus Award 2019. XTRO is a trio founded in The Netherlands by three percussionists from Italy and Portugal, who share an interest in contemporary composed music, theatre and dance.
