On 29 November two LPs will be released in a brand new vinyl series by Gaudeamus and avant-garde record label Unsounds: Ob-Literate by Zeno van den Broek & Gagi Petrovic and Untitled # 2 (The Mute) by Jessica Sligter & Wilbert Bulsink. In Orgelpark Amsterdam, the LPs are presented with a live performance of Ob-Literate and a solo performance by Jessica Sligter.
Inspired by the philosophy of The Destructive Character by Walter Benjamin, Dick Raaijmakers and the poetry of Adam Staley Groves, Zeno van den Broek and Gagi Petrovic create an intense and alienating listening experience with Ob-Literate. The piece premiered in the Nicolaïkerk in Utrecht in 2016 and is now being revived.
Untitled # 2 (The Mute) is the second collaboration between singer/composer Jessica Sligter and composer Wilbert Bulsink, and premiered at November Music in Den Bosch in 2016. Sligter works in the experimental corners of pop music. In September 2018, her new solo album was released,
Polycrisis.yes!, which is the focus point of her solo set with synthesizers and electronics.
