Modulation is an evening full of electronic music in Kytopia in Utrecht, organised by Sonar Traffic every two months. Tonight SONAR TRAFFIC and Gaudeamus join forces.
The focus is on concerts with modular synthesizers, but other (DIY) hardware is welcome as well. The aim is to avoid the use of normal computers as much as possible. A group of very diverse artists take the stage and demonstrate that the modular synthesizer is a non-linear, very personal and extremely creative instrument. No modular is the same and every player uses it in a completely different way. Experiment and sound research are encouraged!
