The Russian pianist Nadezda Filippova lives in Amsterdam and has been selected for the 17/18 seasonally prestigious Dutch Classical Talent Tour, bringing her to eleven concert halls in The Netherlands. She takes a new commission from composer Felipe Waller on her programme in this tour. This work wrote Waller on behalf of Gaudeamus Muziekweek and of course we have the premiere. Besides Waller’s work, Filippova has more contemporary work on her sleeve and plays the Elf Humoresken of one of the most played German composers of this moment: Jörg Widmann.
