New saxophone quartets! The Keuris Quartet is an international saxophone ensemble specialized in the interpretation of contemporary classical music. Having won first prize at the Strasbourg International Saxophone Quartet Competition in 2015, the quartet is now considered to be one of the most progressive saxophone quartets of today. During this reading session, a selection of sketches will be performed. These have been submitted by young composers from all over the world with the call for scores, and no sketch is more than one minute long. The four members of the quartet will then discuss the sketches with the composers themselves. In this way you can observe the work process of young music pioneers at very close quarters!
Keuris Quartet will play on September 10 the 5×4 Saxophones programme.
