For many years Slovenian pianist Kaja Draksler has been one of the pivotal figures of Amsterdam’s improvised music. She founded her Octet with several other key figures from that scene. Tonight they will play work from their latest album Out of Stars, based on poems by the American poet Robert Frost. Free-flowing music in which nature with its forests and streams is almost tangibly present.
