Hypercollective is an ‘audio canvas’ on which anybody in the world can make a contribution, at any time. Contributors will be asked to make a 30-second audio ‘duet’ which will be algorithmically mixed into the canvas. Over time, older contributions will influence newer ones whilst gradually fading into the distance, buried under the collage of newer material.
Hypercollective is a free, open-ended experiment with no limits on who can contribute or what is contributed. Questions arise about: the way idea are transmitted through time; the influence of one person on the crowd; collective consciousness.
