For her project Cellomondo Katharina Gross has set herself the wildly ambitious goal of collecting new works for solo cello by at least two composers from every country in the world. Together they will form a unique picture of traditions and national sounds from all over the world, but also an ode to the expressive power of the cello. In Gaudeamus 2022, Gross will present the third series of compositions within the project, all based on the theme of a world in transformation.
