Turn up the bass (clarinet) – Fie Schouten

In this third edition of the Basklarinet Festijn (Bass clarinet Festival), artistic director and bass clarinettist Fie Schouten joins forces with her younger colleague bass clarinettist Germaine Sijstermans, cellist Eva van de Poll and guitarist Jeroen Kimman in a programme of music by a new generation of composers.

It includes music by master’s students at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. Sijstermans presents her own work, and the programme also includes a new piece by the Canadian composer Carmen Vanderveken, who recently graduated with flying colours from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
