New music for B.C. Manjunath and New European Ensemble

GAUDEAMUS offers young composers a unique opportunity to create music for B.C. Manjunath and New European Ensemble (NEuE)

B.C. Manjunath is a revolutionary percussionist from Bangalore, freshly renovating the Carnatic musical tradition of Southern India.
His impact has grown exponentially worldwide over the last decades, reaching musicians of all backgrounds who discover universal principles in his essential vision of rhythm.

New European Ensemble (NEuE) is a leading reference in newly composed repertoire, often collaborating with Gaudeamus.
NEuE dares to undergo a rhythmical challenge alongside B.C. Manjunath. An adventurous journey, but also a solid investment in their performative skills.

Support for composers

Jonás will coordinate support in the musical query of participating composers.

Ned has been commissioned a piece for B.C. Manjunath and NEuE, due to premiere at Gaudeamus Festival 2022. Ned will share his experience and simultaneous composition process, providing privileged advice for participating composers.
