Bass clarinetist Fie Schouten and cellist Katharina Gross, along with pianist Pascal Meyer, will present a concert based on the piece Sounds, Archeologies by Isabel Mundry, one of the jury members for the Gaudeamus Award 2025. This piece features Mundry, who, like an archaeologist, ‘excavates’ various archetypes of classical composition and attempts to relate to them in a new way.
The duo, consisting of bass clarinetist Fie Schouten and cellist Katharina Gross, focuses on contemporary, international repertoire, sharing a love of low frequencies, contrasts, and theatrical aspects. Pascal Meyer is a versatile pianist, dedicated to unconventional repertoire choices. He is a member of the Luxembourg contemporary music ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin and the trio Machine à trois.
