Audréanne Filion and Laurence Gaudreau are two French-Canadian cellists who create compelling sonic landscapes with influences from classical, experimental, electronic, ambient, noise and pop music. In this continuous 45-minute performance for two cellos and live electronics, they take you on a unique, highly personal emotional trip.
This is Gaudeau and Filion’s first duo concert, and the budding friendship between the two cellists is reflected in the performance: intimate, emotional and sometimes destructive. Gaudreau and Filion have worked separately with experimental pop artists such as YlangYlang, Jessica Moss, Kid Koala, Liliane Chlela and LOEMA. Together they played in Quatuor Sappho and other formations.
