A celebration of female courage in a compelling journey through East and West, starring renowned Iranian singer Mozhgan Shajarian. Inspired by stories from the Shahnameh (the ‘Book of Kings’ – described as the national epic of the Iranian people), this impressive performance tells a powerful and timeless story of the resilience of women, both in the past and in the present.
Together with, among others, the Noordpool Orkest and cellist Maya Fridman, Mozhgan brings a unique mix of Eastern and Western music. The eclectic compositions of Farid Sheek, Hamid Sheikhbahaei and Reinout Douma are at the heart of this special, extraordinary story. This evening, organized by Culture Unlimited, is set to be an inspiring experience, full of music and stories that put the power of women in the spotlight.
