K!ART [pronounced klart] is an experimental music ensemble and creative platform based in Copenhagen, Denmark since 2019. The ensemble is characterized by an open-minded and exploratory approach to music and presents intermedial music events ranging from experimental instrumental music to music-theatre, multimedia, and performance art works. At Gaudeamus Festival 2025, they will perform two pieces by nominees for the Gaudeamus Award: Matthew Grouse and Yaz Lancaster.
Exploring trauma and terror, Yaz Lancaster’s Ouruboros sets poetry written by both Lancaster and poet Laura Henriksen, in a musical work which uses sonic qualities to explore fear, dread and anxiety. A trio of female vocalists joins K!ART for this piece.
This concert is part of the Ulysses Platform, co-funded by the European Union, and made possible by financial support from the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung.
