Since 2019 we have been exploring questions of artistic creation and societal challenges during our seminar series. This year we will investigate individuality and collectivity in creative processes. How often is the whole greater than the sum of its parts? Which individual roles do we fulfill within a creative collective?
Various artists from the festival programme talk about how they have used collectivity and various forms of shared leadership and (non-)hierarchical processes in their artistic practices. There will be workshops and keynotes by artists such as M Alberto, BUI, Peni Candra Rini, Samira Dibi and Aart van der Maas, researcher in Community Development at the HU and board member of Gaudeamus.
