Like many contemporary composers, Jasmine Morris is both composer and performer. With synthesizers, a laptop, guitar effects and a cassette player, Morris samples, edits and recontextualises a colourful sound world, where orchestral sounds, feedback and machine noise meet. One of three performances celebrating the anniversary of London-based label Nonclassical, which for 20 years has succeeded in finding new audiences for music on the border between contemporary classical and electronica.
