Online radio station Stranded FM, with which Gaudeamus has been working closely for many years, presents three leading young Dutch producers in Het Kapitaal for a Sunday afternoon session.
Mathilde Nobel is a Rotterdam-based musician and visual artist whose work bridges ethereal sound design with a deconstructed club sensibility. Her music is marked by cinematic pads, angelic processed vocals and fragmented rhythms that feel painterly in their emotional depth and contrast. With a background in fine arts, Nobel builds immersive worlds where sound, visuals and performance dissolve into one another.
In her most recent work, Nobel introduces a new visual show with natural landscapes, religious symbolism and ancient artifacts. Inspired by her ongoing development as a soprano with the classical choir Cappella Breda, Nobel’s interest in classical composition deepened as she composed her first choral piece, adding a new dimension to her artistic practice.
