“Bright, fresh and, in the best sense, innocent” is how Steve Reich describes the work of composer, multi-instrumentalist and interdisciplinary artist Darian Donovan Thomas. During Gaudeamus Festival he presents work from his debut album A Room With Many Doors: songs on the borders between hyper pop, jazz, noise, game and ambient music. This is the first time that Thomas presents himself as a solo artist, after many years of experience as an ensemble member of Arooj Aftab, Balun, Wild Up, MEDIAQUEER and String Orchestra of Brooklyn, among others.
