Mees Vervuurt – STABAT MATER deconstructed

Four singers, one mime. A mother stands in sorrow. Slowly her eyes turn back to her belly, searching for the child that once was. A fragment of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater is heard, but disappears in never ending glissandi.

In STABAT MATER deconstructed, five performers take you with them on their search for the child they once were. Especially for Gaudeamus, Mees Vervuurt makes a new deconstruction of his performance STABAT MATER. A promising multidisciplinary maker whose work is characterised by the combination of movement and music, typically set in unusual locations.
