Guitar player Martin van Hees is a busy bee. He plays in ensemble Kluster5 from The Hague, collaborated in various projects with Asko|Schönberg and travels the world as a soloist (Europe, India and Thailand). Now he is ready for already his second solo album.
Van Hees recorded this album, called Remgewogen, last summer for Utrecht label TRPTK. Gaudeamus supported him with a donation via a crowdfunding campaign. Now the album, with compositions for classical guitar, is presented in art gallery KuuB.
Aart Strootman, Jan-Peter de Graaff and Christiaan Richter wrote compositions especially for Van Hees. The programme is rounded out with existing compositions by Louis Andriessen en Roderik de Man.
