Have you ever seen time go backwards? Heute wird Morgen Gestern sein is a series of performative installations by the German/Dutch artist, scenographer and researcher Ariane Trümper that plays with the reality altering capabilities of the recorded image and our perception of reality.
The piece explores the idea of the ‘good old days’ that will never return. In an interactive installation – created especially for Senses Working Overtime – the visitor is able to control the flow of water interacting with vibrations of a set of speakers. Manipulating the sound and image, for a second you don’t believe your eyes and suddenly the forward motion of time does not seem so inescapable anymore.
