They Move Differently Here – Ensemble Offspring

Ensemble Offspring, led by acclaimed percussionist Claire Edwardes, brings together some of Australia’s most innovative and virtuosic performers. They will premiere They Move Differently Here, composed by the talented and pioneering composer Genevieve Murphy. This concert will take you through a journey of Genevieve’s anxiety, control experiments on the musicians, pop like songs and manifestations. Having dived into one of her biggest fears, the composer embarked on a journey to overcome her phobia. 

In recent years Murphy has built up a considerable reputation with her remarkable multidisciplinary compositions. As well as working as an independent maker, she has also collaborated and performed with visual artists, free improvisers, choreographers and producers and tours internationally with London-based visual artist Martin Creed.
